One of the Zephyrs foundational purposes was to provide an off-season elite travel baseball opportunity for athletes in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica who, very wisely, play fall sports in the fall and winter sports in the winter.

Many great players, including Drake Baldwin, Mookie Betts, Kobe Bryant, Tom Glavine, Tony Gwynn, Bo Jackson, Reggie Jackson, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Aaron Judge, Clayton Kershaw, Joe Mauer, Jackie Robinson, Mike Trout, and Dave Winfield, played multiple sports in high school and/or college and/or professionally.

The Zephyrs Baseball Club recruits and promotes multi-sport athletes, because these athletes make the best baseball players. Playing other sports perfectly complements the Zephyrs Baseball Club’s development of each player to his highest potential through good character and sportsmanship, peak strength and conditioning, battle-ready mental toughness, sharp instinct, endless skills development, team dynamics, and learning to recognize and win every game situation.

The Zephyrs Baseball Club is local, affordable, and flexible, allowing each player to meet our requirement to play another sport during the baseball off-season.

Baseball season and off-season

During our baseball season (roughly May-July), Zephyrs players commit to baseball. We expect all players to be at practice and to practice to play to win.

During the baseball off-season, we shift to a clinic-like approach, with flexible scheduling (including arriving late or leaving early) to permit our players to focus on the sport of the season. We want our teams to play 8 games per month and/or 2 tournaments per month..

Teams

New players are recruited for teams at the 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 year old levels.

TEAM FEEs

The Zephyrs Baseball Club collects a monthly fee of $300 for each month of participation, due on or before the 1st of each month.

For tournaments and games, we utilize the pay-as-you-go system to cover entry and umpire fees.

Uniform

Zephyrs uniform:

  • $40 Practice Jersey

  • $40 Cap

  • $95 Game Jersey (white)

  • $95 Game Jersey (royal)

  • $95 Game Jersey (gray)

    $365 Total

Each player will also need:

  • Royal Blue batting helmet

  • Royal Blue stirrups over white sanitary socks

  • Royal Blue baseball socks

  • Royal Blue belt

  • White pants (no piping)

  • Gray pants (no piping)

  • Black Baseball cleats

  • Cup

  • USSSA-approved bat through age 12; BBCOR bat for ages 13-14.

  • Wood bat

  • Doughnut or other bat weight

All catchers will need a complete set of their own gear.
