The Zephyrs Baseball Club was formed in 2013 as a high level baseball program for multi-sport athletes in the 6-14 year old age group. One of our foundational purposes was to provide an off-season travel baseball opportunity for athletes in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica who, very wisely, played fall sports in the fall and winter sports in the winter.

In 2022 the program moved to Nashville and now operates in the spring, summer, and fall, while continuing to promote well-rounded athleticism.. Many players, including Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Jackie Robinson, Dave Winfield, Tony Gwynn, Bo Jackson, Tom Glavine, Michael Jordan, Joe Mauer, played more than one sport in high school and/or college and/or professionally.

The Zephyrs Baseball Club recruits and promotes multi-sport athletes, because those athletes make the best baseball players. Striving to develop each player to his highest potential, the Zephyrs Baseball Club focuses on character and sportsmanship, strength and conditioning, the mental and instinctual aspects of baseball, individual skills development, team dynamics, and learning how to recognize and win every situation in a baseball game.

The Zephyrs Baseball Club is local, affordable, and flexible, allowing the players to meet our long-time requirement that each player be fully involved in another sport during the baseball off-season.

Baseball season and off-season

During our baseball season (roughly May-July), Zephyrs players commit to baseball. We expect all players to be at practice and to practice to play to win.

During the baseball off-season, we shift to a clinic-like approach, with flexible scheduling (including arriving late or leaving early) to permit our players to focus on the sport of the season..

Teams

New players are recruited for teams at the 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 year old levels.

Tournaments and Games

During our baseball season, we want our teams to play 8 games per month and/or 2 tournaments per month..

MONTHLY Fee FOR TEAM PLAY

The Zephyrs Baseball Club collects a monthly fee of $100 for each month of participation, due on or before the 1st of each month.

For tournaments and games, we utilize the pay-as-you-go system to cover entry and umpire fees.

Equipment and Uniform

Zephyrs uniform:

  • $30 Practice Jersey

  • $30 Cap

  • $75 Game Jersey (white)

  • $75 Game Jersey (royal)

  • $75 Game Jersey (gray)

    $285 Total

Each player will also need:

  • Royal stirrups over white sanitary socks

  • Royal baseball socks

  • Royal belt

  • White pants (no piping)

  • Gray pants (no piping)

  • Black Baseball cleats

  • Cup

  • USSSA-approved bat through age 12; BBCOR bat for ages 13-14.

  • Wood bat

  • Doughnut or other bat weight

All catchers will need a complete set of their own gear.
